Brushes, Combs, and Picks
Brushes, combs, and hair picks are some of the most common types of vintage My Little Pony accessories. Nearly every pony came with at least one brush, comb, or pick, as did most playsets and pony friends. In fact, of the nearly five hundred US My Little Ponies, only eleven were sold without these hair accessories: Baby Sleepy Pie , Baby Crumpet , and the ponies in the Sweet Kisses and Teeny Tiny Twins sets.

Flower Brush
*Photo by Ponyland Press* The flower brush was one of the most commonly used brushes, and was printed in many colors. It came with ponies from Year 2 all the way through Year 10 , including both adults and baby ponies. In the Year 2 Earth , Merry-Go-Round , Loving Family , Precious Pocket , Baby Rainbow , Baby Ballerina , and Flower Fantasy Pony sets, every pony came with a flower brush.

Star Brush
*Photo by Ponyland Press* Although the star brush was used from Year 2 through Year 8 , it came with relatively few ponies. It was, however, sold with all of the ponies in the Year 2 Pegasus , Year 2 Unicorn , and Rainbow Curl Pony sets.

Star Brush (Rainbow)
*Photo by Dancing Butterflies . Used with permission.* The rainbow star brush is exactly the same as the regular star brush (see above), but has a star-shaped, rainbow-colored sticker in the center. It came with all of the ponies in the Year 2 Rainbow and Year 3 Rainbow Pony sets, along with a basic comb .

Although usually sold with adult ponies, it was also included with the Baby Bonnet School of Dance, which came with Beddy-Bye-Eye Baby Half Note .
