The Windy Wing Ponies, released in Year 7 (1988-1989), were printed in the same poses as the Summer Wing Ponies from Year 6, and with the same delicate, butterfly-like wings. They were the last ponies printed in these poses (apart from the Alitas, made by Top Toys in Argentina). Like Summer Wing Ponies, Windy Wing Ponies are small and thin, and have translucent wings which, unlike those of the earlier Flutter Ponies, are not removable, and do not flap. Like both the Flutter and Summer Wing ponies, each Windy Wing Pony has a small symbol on her nose or cheek. Each pony came with a sun pick and a ribbon (plain, not metallic like Summer Wing or Flutter Pony ribbons).
Moon Jumper is a pink Windy Wing pony with blue hair and pinkish-lavender eyes. Her symbol is a pink cow jumping over a pink crescent moon, with a pink star overhead. She has a pink crescent moon on her nose. Moon Jumper's wings are are aqua with a yellow strip at the edge, and have dark pink stripes and yellow and aqua dots. She is in the Glow Pose, and has Monarch Wings. Moon Jumper came with a sun pick and a ribbon.
Cool Breeze is a green Windy Wing pony with green hair and pink eyes. Her symbol is a blue palm tree, with a blue sun in the background. She has a small blue palm tree on her nose. Cool Breeze's wings are aqua and with green edges and pink markings. She is in the Highflier Pose, and has Round Wings. Cool Breeze came with a blue sun pick and a ribbon.
Starry Wings is a yellow Windy Wing pony with dark pink hair and pink eyes. Her symbol is a blue crescent moon with a face, and two blue stars. She has two dark pink stars on her nose. Starry Wings' wings are lavender and pink with a yellow strip at the edge, with lavender and yellow stripes and pink and yellow dots. She is in the Buzzer Pose, and has Monarch Wings. Starry Wings came with a dark green sun pick and a ribbon.
Whirly is a blue Windy Wing pony with yellow hair and pink eyes. Her symbol is a pink sun with a blue center, and three pink flying birds. She has a two pink birds on her left cheek. Whirly's wings are blue with yellow edges and dark purple markings. She is in the Glow Pose, and has Round Wings. Whirly came with a sun pick and a ribbon.
Sunglider is a pink Windy Wing pony with aqua hair and aqua-green eyes. Her symbol is a smiling yellow sun behind yellow clouds. She has a yellow on her left cheek. Sunglider's wings are yellow with purple and pale pink markings. She is in the Buzzer Pose, and has Swallowtail Wings. Sunglider came with a yellow sun pick and a ribbon.
Flurry is a purple Windy Wing pony with pink hair and aqua eyes. Her symbol is a white snowflake with two white hearts floating around it. She has a small white heart on her left cheek. Flurry's wings are yellow with blue and pink markings. She is in the Highflier Pose, and has Swallowtail Wings. Flurry came with a green sun pick and a ribbon.
