During Year 2 (1983-1984), Hasbro began to produce new kinds of ponies with wings and unicorn horns. Originally, they were all simply called "My Little Ponies," but among collectors, the early sets are now commonly separated into three types: Earth Ponies, Pegasus Ponies, and Unicorn Ponies. The Earth Ponies set from Year 2 featured two of the original Year 1 ponies, Blossom and Cotton Candy, only this time with concave instead of flat feet. The set also featured ponies in two new poses: the Bow-Tie Pose, and the Bubbles Pose, the latter of which was never used again in the US. A second set of Earth Ponies was released in Year 3. Each of the Earth Ponies came with a brochure, a flower brush, a ribbon, and a scented sticker.
