Perfume Puff Ponies (released in Year 7, between 1988 and 1989) were the most strongly scented My Little Ponies, far more potent than the Sundae Best, Sweetberry, or Candy Cane ponies who came before them, or the Soda Sippin' Ponies who would come several years later. Each Perfume Puff Pony is scented with a different type of perfume. These ponies also have unusual hair which is very soft and puffy, like the coat of a poodle or a lamb. Their forelocks, however, are made of regular pony hair. Each Perfume Puff Pony came with a ribbon, a flower pick, and a barette picturing either two flowers or a flower and a bird.
