The Pegasus Ponies, along with the Unicorn Ponies, introduced a more magical side to My Little Ponies. They were printed in Year 2, between 1983 and 1984. Only two ponies were printed in this set, both in the same pose, the Firefly Pose. Each has a glittery symbol and a pair of small, plastic wings on her back. Both ponies were re-released in the second set of Pegasus Ponies the following year, with longer hair. Each pony came with a pamphlet, a star brush, a ribbon, and a scented sticker.
Firefly is a pink adult pegasus pony with blue hair and purple eyes. Her symbol is two glittery blue lightening bolts. She is in the Firefly Pose. She was released three times -- once with short hair as pictured here; once in Year 3, in the same pose but with long hair; and once in Year 10, in the Surprise Pose, with darker hair and a non-glittery symbol.
Firefly came with a pamphlet, a purple star brush, a ribbon, and a scented sticker.
Medley is a green adult pegasus pony with sea-green hair and blue eyes. Her symbol is five glittery green musical notes. She is in the Firefly Pose. Medley was released twice: once with short hair as pictured here, and again in Year 3, with long hair.
Medley came with a pamphlet, a pink star brush, a ribbon, and a scented sticker.
