Collector Ponies are essentially a reprint of the Flatfoot Ponies of the previous year, but their poses were altered slightly. They were pritned in the Collector Pose, which is very similar to the original Flatfoot Pose, but has concave hooves (as would all of the poses in the succeeding years of My Little Pony production) and longer front legs, and stands with the head held a little higher. The Collector Ponies were otherwise identical to the Year 1 Flatfoot Ponies: their names, colors, symbols, accessories, and packaging were all the same.
Each of the Collector Ponies came with a basic comb and a ribbon. These ponies were also available through mail order.
