The First Tooth Baby Ponies were introduced in Year 5 (1986-1987), and were the third set of US baby ponies. The First Tooth set was the last set of baby ponies sold in US stores who were made to correspond in mommy/baby pairs with adult ponies from other sets. Unlike most other pony groups, the set featured earth and pegasus ponies but no unicorns (although So Soft Fifi is a unicorn, Baby Fifi was made as an earth pony). No other First Tooth sets were ever printed, but the new first-tooth poses were used in various other baby pony sets all the way through Year 10 in the US, and even longer in other countries.
Each First Tooth Baby Pony came with a ribbon, a duck comb, a training cup, panties, a toothpaste tube, a toothbrush, and some combination of the following accessories: a xylophone and xylophone hammer, a teething ring, a pillow and felt tooth, a stacking toy, or a Glow Worm toy.
Baby Lickety-Split is a lavender baby earth pony with light pink hair and lavender eyes. Her symbol is three pink cones with white ice cream, and three white splashes of ice cream. She is in the Baby Quackers Pose. Her mother is either Earth Pony Lickety-Split or So Soft Lickety-Split. Baby Lickety-Split was originally released in Year 4 as a Beddy-Bye-Eye baby pony. As a First Tooth Pony, she came with several accessories, including an aqua duck comb, a ribbon, a training cup, party pants, a toothpaste tube, a toothbrush, and a glow worm toy.
Baby Bouncy is a yellow baby pegasus pony with blue hair and blue eyes. Her symbol is a beach ball striped blue, pink, and yellow. She is in the Baby Bouncy Pose. Her mother is So Soft Bouncy. Baby Bouncy came with several accessories, including a duck comb, a ribbon, a training cup, party pants, a pink and aqua toothpaste tube, an aqua toothbrush, and a pink and aqua xylophone, and a xylophone hammer.

Apart from the mail-order Twice as Fancy Babies, Baby Fifi was the only baby ever printed who was a different type of pony (earth, unicorn, pegasus) from her mother: So Soft Fifi is a unicorn, while Baby Fifi is an earth pony. Baby Quackers is a white baby earth pony with blue eyes. Her hair is striped blue, green, yellow, and dark pink. Her symbol is a yellow and orange duck holding an orange umbrella. She is in the Baby Quackers Pose. Her mother is Twinkle-Eyed Quackers. Baby Quackers came with a purple duck comb, an orange ribbon, a training cup, white party pants with star prints, an aqua and lavender toothpaste tube, a dark pink toothbrush, a pillow with a felt tooth, and a stacking toy.
Baby North Star is a pink baby pegasus pony with lavender hair and dark blue eyes.
