UK Family Ponies

The UK Family Ponies resemble the Loving Family Ponies, as each family consists of a mother, a father, and a baby in matching colors. Unlike the Loving Family Ponies, however, the babies in the UK Family sets did not blend the traits of their parents; each baby has a unique symbol unlike her parents' symbols, and in each family all three ponies have exactly the same body and hair colors. All of the ponies from this set were based on characters from the "My Little Pony Tales" television show, though they were all minor characters, some of whom were not even named on the show. There are some differences between the printed ponies and the show characters, as described below.
This group of ponies was especially unusual because of their hair, which is striped not vertically like most ponies' hair, but horizontally in bands. Only two other ponies were ever printed with hair like this: the two Special Offer Pretty Mane Ponies.

There is also a Dutch version of Mommy Meadowsweet, known as the Butterfly Pony, who has the same pose and symbol but was printed in different colors.
