Vintage Plush Ponies were made in the early years of My Little Pony production, from Year 2 through Year 4. They stand about ten inches high and are made of soft, fuzzy cloth, with pieces of felt in the ears, under the hooves, and sometimes on the mouth. Like the original plastic ponies, they have brushable manes and tails. Their eyes are hard plastic.
Two different companies produced plush My Little Ponies: Hasbro and Applause. Applause made only four plush ponies, all of which have slimmer legs and smaller heads than the Hasbro versions, and symbols that are printed on rather than embroidered.
