Mommy Charms

     Mommy Charms (known as Mummy Charms in the UK) are very tiny My Little Ponies that can be worn on charm bracelets. They are about the same size as Petite Ponies; in fact, one of the Petite Pony poses is almost identical to the Mommy Charm pose. All Mommy Charms are in the same pose.

     The first Mommy Charms came with special fan club offers, but other charms were included inside specially marked pony packages. Ponies who were sold with charms were also sold without them. At the right are two pictures of mint-in-package Banana Surprise, one with a charm, one without. Clicking the images will enlarge them.

     The package on the left includes a comb, a ribbon, and a charm (Fair Play, between the pony's feet). The package on the right contains a comb, a ribbon, a purple hair clip, and a brochure (behind her).

     All of the Mommy Charms that came in My Little Pony packages were pictured together in a pamphlet (shown at left) which listed their names and gave a poem describing each of them. The pamphlet also included a mail-in offer for a free charm bracelet on which to wear the Mommy Charms.

Powder Puff

     Powder Puff is not part of the Mommy Charms set: she was the first My Little Pony charm, and came with the original My Little Pony Fan Club Kit. Those who joined the Fan Club received the kit as a free gift.
     Powder Puff is lavender with white hair. Her symbol is three purple hearts. Unlike later charms, she has colored flowers on her neck and tail. Her two flowers are both pink, and have green leaves.

Pixie Pony

     Pixie Pony is a pale yellow charm with peach-pink hair. Her symbol is five purple spots.
     Pixie Pony, like Powder Puff, is not a part of the Mommy Charms set. Unlike the Mommy Charms, her flowers are painted, and not the same color as her body. The flower on her tail is white with a red center and green leaves; the flower on her neck is red with green leaves.
